Construction of Schools
In some villages, there are no schools. Children who grow up in such villages dream of going to school one day. OH is currently raising funds for the following building projects:
The expansion of the Golda Meir Academy in Hohoe, Ghana.
The expansion of the Shihalia Primary School in Shihalia, Kenya.
The construction of a school in Andokope, Ghana for 216 children.
Sex/Health Education Program
Since the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, 14.8 million children have lost one or both parents. In addition, the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in the world is in Sub-Saharan Africa. Teenage pregnancy causes girls to drop out of school without the education and skills necessary to care for their child. Many young mothers abandon their children. Some children are later sold into slavery. Others grow up impoverished, lacking the resources to attend school and receive proper health care. This cycle repeats itself with every generation. What We Do
Orphans' Heroes is a 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions to Orphans' Heroes are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
